Non Immigrant Visa “Type O-A” (Retirement Visa)
If you’re fifty years of age or older, you may apply for a retirement visa which allows you to stay in Thailand for up to one year and it can be easily renewed for another one year if you choose to do so. Of course, you don’t need to be retired in your home country as long as you’re fifty or older.
5 to 10-year Elite Visa
Elite visa plan for ฿500,000 THB ($15,000 USD) or the 10-year elite visa plan for ฿800,000 THB ($24,000 USD), or twenty years for about ฿2 million baht ($70,000 USD).
Visa Extensions
If you choose to stay in the Kingdom longer than your first initial non-immigrant visa or tourist visa, regardless of the kind of visa that you have, you’re obligated to leave the country or if you like to continue living in Thailand, you will need to extend or renew your visa annually, or whenever your visa is about to expire.
Non-immigrant “Type-B” Visa (Teachers)
The non-immigrant “Type-B” visa for teachers is available for people who wish to work as school teachers at the university level in Thailand.

Non-Immigrant Visa “Type ED” (Educational Visa)
The educational visa is available for students who wish to attend schools, universities, learning Thai, work-study tours, seminars or other business projects, to train for martial arts like Muay Thai or learn hand-to-hand self-defense combat, taking diving school, or something more interesting like practicing to be a Buddhist monk.
Non-Immigrant Visa “Type O” (Marriage Visa)
If you’re married to a Thai national, you may apply for a marriage visa. The marriage visa will let you stay in Thailand for the first ninty days and afterward you can extend it to twelve months at the immigration office in Thailand.
Extending or renewing your retirement visa after 1 year (฿1,900 THB)
This process is called visa extensions or visa renewal. When your visa is about to expire, you may choose to renew or extend your retirement visa.
